1744 June 9 (Saturday). Greatly disquieted with both the Actual Miscarriages and the Defects of the Council at Upton, and made some Remarks thereon. Prepar’d what I could of my sermon for the Communion tomorrow — and O that my own Soul were suitably prepar’d there for! Bekky and Lucy rode to Sutton. N.B. Mr. James Bowman took the Care of a Letter from me to Mr. Weld of Upton.
