The Diary of Rev. Ebenezer Parkman

Day: April 28, 1756

April 28, 1756

1756 April 28 (Wednesday).  Billy at Neighbour Nurse’s part of the Day.  I desire to be humble that I am so poorly capable of the Great Work I am called to: and would lament my Dullness, and ill Frame in general.  O that the Lord would revive and quicken me!

Why Don’t the Days Listed in the Diary Entries before Sept. 15, 1752 Correspond to the Days on the Calendar above?

In 1752, Great Britain and the American colonies switched from the Julian Calendar to the Gregorian Calendar, which we use today in a slightly updated form.
