The Diary of Rev. Ebenezer Parkman

Day: September 18, 1736

September 18, 1736

1736 September 18th (Saturday).  18th. Very uneasy fluctuation of mind — reflecting Sorrowfully upon my Circumstances and upon Mrs. H. B______’s, and her want of Health etc. — greatly disquieting to me and Sadly discouraging and distracting from my Studys.  But God be gracious to Me!

Why Do the Days Listed in the Diary Entries before Sept. 15, 1752 Not Correspond to the Days on the Calendar?

In 1752, Great Britain and the American colonies switched from the Julian Calendar to the Gregorian Calendar, which we use today in a slightly updated form.
