1739 October 24 (Wednesday). I rode down to Lexington on Mr. Samuel Harringtons Horse. N.B. Difficulty in finding the Way from Weston. One Segar and one Mellage my Pilots it being Night. I went to Captain Joseph Bowmans[1] and lodged there. Very kindly entertain’d by them.
