1756 May 1 (Saturday). At Evening I received a Letter from Capt. Jeduthun Baldwin at Fort William Henry of April 12 containing a sorrowful Account of the Loss of Six Men belonging to them by the Enemy and of the Sickness, Lameness etc. of many others, whilst the Enemy are busy round about them.
