1740 June 2 (Monday).  I wrote to Mr. Rice[1] of Sturbridge by Mr. Stearns[2] of Stoughton.  Hicks[3] weeding.  N.B. I rode to see John Hambleton, at his Request by Eliazar Johnson.  Now he had Hope.
