1780 February 7 (Monday). Several young Women, viz. Lucy Maynard and Anna Fay, hired by Mrs. P. to spin, came here for this week, came duly. P.M. Mr. Jonathan Forbes brought a Cheese etc. and made me a Visit. At evening Ephraim Parker borrows the History of human Nature etc. Advises concerning the sowing my Island with Clover etc.
