It was Mr. Martyns Lecture and he has ask’d me to assist him in it: but I was not without apprehension I should be oblig’d to attend upon the private meeting (if I tarry in Town); and therefore refus’d him: but if I could have forseen my not going to Cambridge I should have both appoint’d our own lecture, which I Should have endeavour’d to have him preach, and likewise have assisted him to Day in his. P.M. marry’d Adonijah Rice[1] to Hannah Crosby.[2]
