1761 May 9 (Saturday). Sent for my Sheep out of the Pound, and sent ‘em up to Neighbour Newton to be yoked and fettered. I provided yokes, viz. 7 and 3 more soals and Crotches. He accordingly does the work. I viewed both Newtons and Betons Fences. Found Betons very Defective and Newtons part of it very bad, and Newtons outer Fence mended but newly. Capt.
